People want to be informed. To be informed is a right. Unfortunately, today's information seems to be deformed.
I received this article from the Financial Times and I said: this is so obvious, caramba. The media have a common story and surprisingly the different sources media are on the same side... In fact, this whole situation reminded me one of my Theory of International Relations lessons when the Professor asked us:
- "What is the best way to unite the people of a country?"
... Err welfare policies? "No"...
humm political campaigns? "No"
... Err football?
- "The correct answer is to find a common external enemy!"
This week's headlines are the prove that this old-fashion-imperialistic theory still works.
But wait a second. Ok, lets look at the article closer to understand it better:
Ah! No way... After 10 years Osama Bin Laden is selling again! These news items are great news for the media industry. It will be on the front page for as long as it sells. - Lets use all the PR crowd psychology to catch the human brain and eyes and hears everywhere! 165,000 extra copies...
O bay god! But what are we talking about? Media headlines saying "assassination", "pull the trigger", "dead", “Vengeance at last!", "got him".
Is this what we want to educate our children?
Is this the real streaming age of empires?
America’s usually divided media is united on this mission, but these words feed, in fact, separation between continents that still seem to know so little about each other. Now people have more fear than before... An eye for an eye... one reaps what one sows... Some commentators say that this is just the beginning of a new phase on this war.
The media is not standing for what is the best for all. Instead, media channels are looking for their own visibility, impact and sales in the end of the day.
Ok, it's the 4th day... Lets see a bit more. Here it is.
The geographical perspectives of the media. Lets see how the media will create stories to keep the momentum... (looking for news is their job and how media makes money and we are all in the same survival system). As long as this story sells, we will have Osama and Obama on the front pages, regardless of any other important news that should be covered.
Just as a final note. The media was united on another recent occasion... Which media didn't cover the royal wedding?
As this article says, escape to Fairytaleland; escape to London in Spring.
Well, this time the western headlines went from Fairytaleland directly to "Rot In Hell", from the New York Daily News.
More than ever people have to be aware of how this all works: the human mind is based on polarity and humans react to positive and negative, whether images, words or feelings. Just like the economic system: ups and downs. The same happens in the media. Also in movies: ups and downs to shake one's stomach. Playing with emotions, stress, anxiety and we call this 'experiences'. It all SELLS!
But how limited life can be based on this...? In fact, there is much more than this, we just don't allow ourselves to overcome this superficial world cover. And who we really are as Life is not made of "ups and downs". These situations are making humans getting older quickly, being unstable and projecting emotional polarity into the world.
We are facing crucial times. More than ever, it is time for each one to take responsibility for what happens inside of self.
When a news story shakes you inside, just breathe and stop the backchat (judgements, for example)... It is the best way to support oneself to see things in common sense and not be manipulated.
It is time to re-educate ourselves. Then the media might start showing it. Until then, breathe and open your eyes.
Desteni 'I'Process = stop the Polarity within self!
