Today, 10
children among whom was a boy of 12 and another of 13 years were
detained as alleged perpetrators of the
murder of a teenager of 16 in Spain.
It's the second time this weekend that violent children are topic in
the news: in the UK one of two teenage boys started shooting at people in
Liverpool and hit a boy in his leg.
Through a quick Google search one realises that this topic is saddly very
common.
Regardless the fact
that the crime in Spain involved a rivalry between latin-america gangs, we must
look at the starting point for such behaviour that goes beyond ethnic groups.
It is about our accepted and allowed human nature.
Not surprisingly,
yesterday Spanish unemployment has hit a new record high of 5.64 million. I ask
myself:
What morality do we have in telling children to not use guns,
if adults themselves promote and recruit for war?
Who created these weapons in
first place?
What example do children see in the adults of today if we cannot even
fix the current economic crisis to a lasting solution?
What motivation will these
children find to study if in the end they will probably do something that they
do not enjoy at all?
Aren't we ALL responsible for these crimes which reflect what we
have been allowed and accepted to be created in our world?
A little bit of
self-respect for human Life would be enough for everyone to see that we must
become our own example of Life; to see that this economic system is actually
based on war, in competition and in taking Lives. But Life was given to Us!
Things are not alright and adults and children are all responsible.
This
also takes me to the film and TV industry, that uses violence for their own
benefit, while children simply learn via copy & paste. Do you notice how
are we brainwashed by the violence just from the movie titles, not to mention
the images? Have a look: only this year we've got This Means War, Tomorrow, When the War Began; The Flowers of War ; Declaration of War ; Kill List ; and the list
will increase throught the year...
Is this the world we
want to live in and our children to live in? Of course not. In common sense we
know that we avoid speaking of such themes because we ourselves participate in
thoughts of war and of violence. Children
are processing all this information without any guidelines or support. The sad
result is that only in the US 13 million children will be bullied this year.

So now ask yourself:
how are you also participating and feeding violence in your mind towards
others? Do your thoughts respect all Life?
All we have to do is
to stop allowing the thoughts before it becomes our action - because we did not
created these thoughts consciously, but these were embedded in our minds
through images and shocking titles... Now we know we must stop ourselves,
forgive ourselves for what we have become and correct ourselves. And we will
then see that the children of the world will also change. This world is a
reflection of us all.
If we STAND for
Life, children will STAND FOR LIFE too.
