Day 52: What is ownership really? (Equal Money FAQ series)

Ownership and the fear of losing
Ownership is a state of possessing something usually associated with property and material possession. Interestingly enough, such social and legal status is a manifestation of a mind possession cultivated within a survival-based economic system.
Such invisible need and social representation of survival served to the foundation of physical divisions and in today’s society everything has an owner and all is owned, whether is by an individual, collective, government or corporation.
Starting by owning a name and a surname, we eventually carry the weight of the family’s reputation. The ultimate separation that we are facing in our times is the accumulation of such relationships, attachments and unsustainable lifestyle where each one lives in its own bubble and delusional state of security.
Ownership exists within and as the polarity of having and the fear of losing, in a game where human relations participate in constant friction. As a result, the future is motivated by the desire of winning and by people’s wishes for an imaginary stability usually represented by nostalgic traditions and principles that got lost in time.

"We’ve owned a system of slavery and such weight has been greater than the self-will of men to free themselves"

Nevertheless, the idea of private property and ownership that seem to be natural to our species has simply been gradually ingrained in the human mind. In fact, once men thought that all things should be common, as Heckewelder[1] describes how Indians defended that the Great Spirit had made the Earth, and all that it contains, for the common good of mankind, where everything is given in common to the sons of men. Whatever lived on the land and growth out of the earth, and all that is in the rivers and waters, was given jointly to all, and everyone is entitled to his share. Hospitality with them is not a virtue, but a strict duty.
Hobbes’ thoughts also put the whole construct of ownership into question: “Nature hath given to each of us an equal right to all things. In a state of nature every man has a right to do and to take whatsoever he pleases: whence the common saying that Nature has given all things to all men whence it follows that in a state of nature utility is the rule of right”.[2]
The urge to own something is the direct consequence of the (d)evolution of the social and economic environments that we have been creating for ourselves in the image and likeness of ourselves as the mind.  But why do we humans have never considered bursting the bubble? The reality is that we’ve owned a system of slavery and such weight has been greater than the self-will of men to free themselves once and for all. Each one is still accepting to “live” in its own island without realising that the earth itself is the common ship we all share. In one’s action, look at where you are not considering the other’s space, or where one defines oneself for the goods possessed.
The extent of the millenary education and imitation of existing costumes is so incredibly big that the need for owning goes beyond the property and physical materials. People want to own other people, isn’t it? That is what marriage is all about really, the rights and duties of owning such relationship based on interests and the desire for financial stability. Another example is children in our world who are thought to be owned by the parents and will grow up always comparing themselves to the elders and needing to payback the debt that parents sacrificed to raise them.
Everything that exists in this world is a manifestation of the need to possess. Socially speaking, people recognise others by that which they possess and the security they have in the capitalistic system. This is mine, this is my mine of gold, and this is my anti-personnel weapon that maintains my neighbours away. But did you know that in the Caroline islands, when an indigene set out on a journey, he carried with him no provisions? When hungry he would simply enter a lodge without any kind of ceremony, eat and leave when his hunger was satisfied. There was no need for permission neither thanking anybody because he has but exercised a right.[3]

Ownership is a target of the mind
It is quite difficult to accept a lifestyle of complete freedom. Certainly many think that no one could simply “enter my house and eat what I bought with my own money that I earned with my own sweat”. However, we dare you to de-construct this idea of ownership and you will realise that no one really owns anything, except the objective/target of owning something: do you really own your house or is the bank to which you pay your mortgage? Do you know where your money comes from? Couldn’t you be doing something more productive than exchanging your time for money as a slave of this eco-no-me? Aren’t we tired of abusing our bodies during almost all our life and expect to enjoy what we own when we retire?
The cure for such ownership possession is money for all within a system that cares for all. Then the need to possess or to build castles for the sake of security will become irrelevant, since fear is excluded from the equation called Life. Ownership will not be necessary because what will be valued is life in all its manifestations. People will not be able to be defined by their haves and have-nots because everyone will have the best of everything.  Thus, jealousy, fear of loss and crime will cease to exist since the origin of such has been the atrocious inequality ingrained in the current economic system and promoted by greedy egos.
Human beings don’t need to define themselves based on what they have, but rather on who they are! The divide-and-conquer strategy has misled humanity to believe that it exists in separate bubbles/countries/lands. If one looks in Self-Honesty at the current system of ownership, one will understand that it is against existence itself – human beings share a planet and there’s nothing we can do to change this principle. Oneness and Equality must be our starting point.

Day 51: Everyone wants to hear "Everything is going to be alright..."

Within this dream state we live in our bubble worlds created and designed by our thoughts of grandeur and magnificence, we say these words to our children because that is our hope, we hope all will turn out ok and that all will be well in the end of this life, but that is just a hope. Something that neither can be tested to be true nor relied upon as fact. There is no certainty to our livelihoods here in this world as each day most beings scramble thru to make it, going against the grain in what feels like waves crashing over them such as the money system, the debt system, the consumerism system, the job system, to get enough money coming in to pay the bills and necessities. Working and working to keep this point of surviving going that is if they are able to keep there job or even get a job in this failing economy.
Garbrielle

I wanted to share Garbrielle's words from the article "Why do we Lie to our Children?" as she amazingly uncovered the magic message behind the famous expression "Everything is going to be alright...".

Empty words based on an invisible hope that should not be necessary in first place, if we were all to live the words we speak.

How did we humans become so powerless that we seem unable to put into practice the security we want to see in the world?

Expecting a father, a mother, a teacher, a president, a priest, a grandma or a friend to give the comfort of a future projection that won't be more than words. And because such comfort is not real, people desire it. Yet, the words of change are not applied so hope will vanish and things won't be alright for everyone. There is no real investigation for a solution and the promise will fade away.

It's all down to self-honesty.

We can also find such expression in movie scenes when someone is simply avoiding to tell how complicated a situation is. Everyone wants to behave like a hero towards somebody else, and everyone wants to believe in a hero that will fix the world. Why? Ask yourself! When was the last time you trusted yourself?

How will our children have a different future if we are clearly repeating historical patterns of survival? For how long are going to allow such illusionary game being projected, instead of finally stopping and standing up for structural changes in self-responsibility.

Day 50: And God created Fridays…

“Thanks God is Friday” hip hip hurrey, many say.
The paranormal excitement is something fascinating. Friday’s ritual of excitement, for a sudden everything seems to make sense. It doesn’t matter if there’s a war somewhere on the planet a, for as long as God gives us the Free-Day, everything is fine.

Are people aware of each moment lived on a Friday, or is our mind somewhere in the imaginary land of plans for the weekend? But wait a second, last week the same happened...

Monday came. Why did God create Mondays? How unequal is that... The polarity of positive and negative lived by many. An illusion on which we are participating since at least 1760 BC - the earliest records of slavery.
Weekends are some sort of prize for the work one does over the five working days. Going through pain over the week. And the weekend will come over and over again. And Friday will come over and over again... And we continue on this rat wheel of the human race.
We know we are abusing our own bodies and that diseases are created by our ourselves, but still we will stay in the loop awaiting for some miracle (or at least for “that” party...)

Shall we ask ourselves; If it wasn’t God would we have weekends? But WHY do we need weekends in first place? Why are we still buying a system that is clearly against Life and against ourselves as humans and animals and plants?

Aren’t we able to STOP and start again; aren’t we able to let go of the ball and chain pushing us down? Aren’t we actually creating such weight to our own selves...?
Despite the emotional sensation based on expectations that are not even real, Friday will have no long-term effect whatsoever.
Is this pessimistic? Is this realistic? This is common sense.
I would say we better wake up from this nightmare of illusion and consider that WE CAN re-create the calendar, we CAN guarantee that our children won’t go through this pain again; that one day everyone will do that which they really enjoy doing. The real free-day will come when money will not be an issue.

Day 49: Jobs proves this system kills

Although Apple did not give a cause of death, Steve Steve Jobs had battled cancer since 2004. Can you see the cause and the consequence?

"This economic crisis is like a cancer, if you just wait and wait thinking this will go away, just like a cancer it's going to grow and it's going to be too late."

It is outrageous that those that are here for a long time still allow such uncertainty among the youth.
The uncertainty while looking for a job kills the youth in each one of us.

This week’s news is filled with Jobs and Apple, forgetting the jobs with lower capital investment and real apples in a world of hunger.
Last week another cancer agitated many around the world, when the traders’ mind was unveiled through the words of Rastani on BBC.

An economic cancer causing anger, unemployment, stress, poverty, competition and diseases.

Between 2010 and 2011 at least 25 workers in China's Apple iPad and iPhone factories committed suicide...
Did Steve change any of these phenomena? No.
The world is in reverse and exploitation is exposed. Till we STOP the patterns of abuse and inequality.

There are no heroes. Everyone is Here.

Even though there's the great excitement of starting a new job and the enthusiasm of joining a new team, the instability of the current system is real - no one can be creative, active and full of energy if doesn't have a solid plan ahead or when the bank account shows how cruel things can be. Allowing such system is simply an abuse of Life.

One first needs to exist, than we can work/contribute to the society.
The world is simply not prepared to guarantee such basic stability.

I am sure that many of the major world leaders went through such times of uncertainty. However, what did they do? Things are just exactly as they were before: the same crisis, more people than the available places and the competition game.

I don't want this to happen to mine or the next generations.

Did any of us make an exam to be born into this world?
No!

I am 1 vote for an Equal Money System: where the basic human rights guarantee a prosper future to Everyone.

Day 48: We are the children of debt...

It makes one wonder...
Are you aware of how money controls your actions
and dictates what you eat
what you study or the decisions you take
Have you reacted towards money today
or got involved in a fight based on money

Wake up... but you won't smell the coffee
unless you paid for it,
unless you have worked to get the money
and be healthy to keep a job
and been educated to start working
and be fed to stay alive
and be born in first place.

It doesn't matter if you hate money or if you love money. The relationship and attachment exist in both polarities. Both an enslavement.

We are the children of debt because Life in itself is not valuable. Someone had to work and suffer to feed you in first place. Some call it a responsibility, others a prison. The point is that we are not given any real sustainable rights automatically at birth. Debt exists as the have and have-nots of this eco-no-me.

It is all in our minds: perceptions and beliefs about the system of money. A good thing: it can be the easiest thing to understand once such beliefs are deconstructed. Then it can be used in new direction.

Humanity will only evolve when money becomes equal to everything in this world. Meaning, when money supports Life unconditionally.

Money
It's in everyone's minds
As thoughts that us all binds
To the fear of not having enough
Will it be tough?

Will it be rough?

Without money in today-s society
Soon you'll face your mortality
Cause no money means big strife
Cause no money means no life

(lyrics by Joao Jesus)
